In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.

On the basis of what Christ has done for us and what we are in Him as redeemed and beloved of God, we must live far from the lust of this world, rejecting all that it offers us, to distance and separate us from the love of God.
All of us, at some point in our lives, have lived as those who reject God's grace in Jesus Christ. We were also ignorant, living according to our carnal desires, practicing idolatry of all kinds. But, at the moment we accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, spiritually we left the world to become children of God, the elects of the kingdom.
Because of this decision, the world hates us. It sees us as enemies and rejects us. But that is not enough, it wants our defeat because we have abandoned its ways to follow that of Christ. But whatever happens, have no fear, for our Savior's promise is certain “He will take care of us in the midst of our difficulties.
Have faith in Him.
