Let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:22 (NASB)
Considering the author's approach, we can understand that he wants us to act in a way worthy of the presence of God, that is to say that we must humble ourselves by admitting that we are sinners and that we have no merit before his face. The only way is to believe that through the sacrifice of the cross, Jesus opened the door of salvation for us, allowing us to enter into his presence.
When the author asks us to approach God with a sincere heart and in full assurance of faith, he reveals to us that we can enter into God's presence through prayer and worship. Having a sincere heart here can mean speaking openly to God, letting Him know what we think and feel. Full assurance of faith means total abandonment to God, with firm assurance and without doubting His grace. Which is a form of worship.
If you are questioning your life because of your sins as to whether you are worthy of God's presence, remember that Christ, through His death, paid the price for you. He has cleansed you with his blood. Nothing can condemn you before God anymore. However, you must repent and confess your sins to God. Thus, free from all sin, you can approach God without fear because He only awaits your adoration done with joy and gratitude.
May the grace and the peace of God be with you all.
