I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever.

By saying this, Jesus clearly states that the Holy Spirit will dwell in the hearts of believers. In other words, His ministry will be interior and He will continually manifest His presence in us. Even though some Christians truly believe the text of the Bible, they still fail to grasp the reality of the Holy Spirit who dwells within them.
The first thing we need to know is that by dwelling in us, the Holy Spirit has fulfilled God's promise to live in us and work through us. The second is that the only way He can convict us, guide us, and keep us in obedience to God's will is by living in us. Unless we understand that the doctrine of God's presence within us (Through His Spirit) is His way of leading us to call upon Him in a particular way, we will always find ourselves resisting the voice of His spirit within us.
The presence of the Spirit within us gives us the power to remain faithful to the faith when the enemy tries to convince us of God's rejection. It gives us the comfort we need in times of trouble. It reminds us how intimately close God is to us. Do not try to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit within you, because His presence does not come from a particular feeling or emotion. But you can ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He will do it in a sweet and spiritual way.
