But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
You can tell me you have faith because you pray every morning and you always go to church, I won't be able to argue with you. But, I can still make you think twice if I ask you how much time you spend in the presence of God and studying His word? Now, what answer will you give me? You will probably answer that you don't always have a lot of time because of your job or other activities. In that case, I will tell you that you do not yet have the faith the Bible is talking about. You are still on the way of faith.
The second part of the verse tells us that to have faith, we must first believe that God exists. To do this, you and me, we must first have a personal and intimate relationship with Him. The only way to develop this kind of relationship is through continual prayer and Bible study. It is when you really know who God is that you can have faith in Him.
The requirements of faith are not impossible for those who wholeheartedly believe and put God's word and will first in their lives.
