Now, Lord our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone, Lord, are God.
2 Kings 19:19 (NIV)
It’s easy to cry out to God when things go wrong in our life. We call out asking Him to defeat our enemies, to heal our illnesses, and to overcome our trials.
There are some Christians who said that "if we have enough faith, we can escape all harm". But that's not quite what God said, because God has never promised Christians a life of ease or without problem. God has promised that He will be with us in our trials and crises, and most importantly of all those trials will never separate us from His love.
It's easy to have faith on the outside of the valley, then when you're in the valley everything is different. You feel like even your faith has failed you, because you don't see a way out and you start murmuring against God. It is you who need to make it work by putting your trust in the promises of God. We see in our verse today, God asked Hezekiah to trust Him that He would take care of the situation. Hezekiah did trust Him, and so that's what God did. He kept His word.
Let us call on the Lord knowing that the glory is His and that our lives are living testimonies to His greatness, because God never fail, never lost a battle and He never will.
May God bless you all!
I don't know how to thank you for your messages, they are really comforting. As a pastor, which I think you are, your messages are very deep, but simple and clear for any unbeliever who has never heard of God to understand. You are doing a wonderful job. Don't give up.
