A False Accusation

Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

1 Peter 5:9 (NKJV)

The Bible teaches us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, meaning that those who believe in Jesus and receive Him as their Savior and Lord cannot be condemned because of their sin. They are covered by the blood of Christ. However, the Bible does not say that all will not be condemned, because those who do not believe in Jesus cannot escape the judgment of God.

Those who reject the Son of God cannot receive His grace and salvation because they refuse the only way to be saved. They become easy prey to be brought down by the enemy of their soul, Satan. For us who are Christians, Satan cannot condemn us before the judgment seat of God because we have our advocate who intercedes on our behalf day and night. Since he cannot condemn us, he always seeks to draw us away from God in order to accuse us and make us guilty.

Satan uses our physical and spiritual weaknesses, our lusts, our wrongdoings and our personal desires to accuse us. Remember his accusation against Job when God was praising his integrity and righteousness, he sought to prove to God that Job’s integrity was based on his wealth, his family and his robust health. If he did it for Job, he will also find something in your life to accuse you before the judgment seat of God. As Peter so aptly says, be sober and vigilant, resist the enemy, do not let him weaken you to devour you for his own pleasure.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
