You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do theylight a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Matthew 5:14-15 (NKJV)
You are the light of Jesus Christ in the darkness of this world. You have been chosen and sent to shine in the lives of those who need enlightenment.
As a light you can always illuminate very well wherever you are. It can be your home, your school, your work or your church. The important thing is to know that you have not been called to shine only at home or among other believers like you. They also have this same light within them. They don't need yours. You must go beyond the four walls of your home or comfort zone so that this light can impact the lives of those who live in darkness, in ignorance of salvation and in the lust of this world. It is your responsibility to fulfill the great commission of proclaiming and teaching the gospel of grace and eternal salvation.
If you feel too comfortable in your corner and if stepping out of your comfort zone bores you, know that many will suffer. For they need you, your message, your prayers and your spiritual help to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ, walk in sanctification and grow in faith.
It is up to you to take this step towards them as Jesus did during His earthly ministry. He went from village to village and He taught with love and power.
