And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Joel 2:25 (KJV)
One of the things that often frustrates and disorients us is that after spending days or even months planning and working on a project that is important to us, it all falls apart in no time without we don't have time to think about the unexpected. We feel like nothing is working in our lives anymore. We can no longer move forward. It is always at this very moment that we turn to God to know what we have done wrong.
I know a friend of mine who experienced such a moment in her life. She had spent a year planning and structuring a ministry for single mothers at her church. A week after the project was officially announced, her house caught fire and she lost everything she had prepared for the ministry in the fire. It took him about three years to recover from all of this and finally begin ministry. At the dedication, she tearfully exclaimed that God had heard her prayers all these years and granted her the desires of her heart.
Like this woman, life can be hard on us. We can decide to direct our projects in the direction we choose, but reality leads us to take another. Most often the one we didn't want at all. Sometimes God can prevent us from moving forward with our plans because we are not yet ready. He wants us to wait. Sometimes it is to give us a testimony. When it is He who does it, He will transform your situation into an amazing display of His glory, He will restore your lost days, He will establish your plan and repay you for all that you have lost, He is God.
May the grace and the peace of God be with you all.
I believe it and I received it.
I really love how y'all preach the gospel. It's not something you see often in church now this day. I pray that the Lord continue using you
