Intentional Sin

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.

1 John 5:17 (NKJV)

We often hear that not all evil is sin. This means that one can harm someone without sinning against God. God sees things differently. If the harm caused is unintentional, even if it harms the person who suffered it, God does not consider it a sin. On the other hand, if it comes from the heart with the intention of causing suffering, in God's eyes, it is a willful sin. This is why the Word of God calls it injustice.

God's desire for humanity is unity, manifested through agape love. Although the Bible teaches us that the human heart is deceitful, it does not say that this state is permanent. Rather, it refers to sinful humanity, influenced by Satan himself to lead us away from God. Those who are in Christ love their neighbor, sacrifice for them, and ask forgiveness with a sincere heart when they harm others. They always seek reconciliation with their enemies.

Intentional sin, in God's eyes, is an injustice. Even if it doesn't result in physical death, for a Christian, it is a spiritual death. A total disconnection from God. We all feel anger toward someone at times. Even if we suffer internally, this doesn't give us a reason to hurt them in return to express our anger. On the contrary, it is the perfect time to express the love and compassion of Christ. Do not consider hurting others, for in Christ's eyes, this is an injustice. This will last throughout your life, even if it doesn't lead to death.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
