The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.
Lamentations 3:25 (HCSB)
What do you think happens when we act without God or refuse to wait for His intervention? Often, when we are impatient, we do things that displease Him or lead nowhere. In these cases, we feel like we're going in circles because our efforts are futile, and we always end up back where we started. This is a difficult reality to accept, especially when we want an immediate answer.
You ask yourself: What is God doing? Why isn't He coming to our aid? If God asks you to entrust all your worries to Him, it's because He has a plan for you and knows better than you what you need. There is a big difference between what you want and what you need. God takes this difference into account in our lives. That's why He desires our trust. He wants us to be patient because rushing out of a dead end doesn't get us out of it any faster. On the contrary, this only makes things worse and more difficult.
That's where God comes in! He knows that, contrary to what we believe, going out now will get us nowhere. He prefers to use our situation to draw us closer to Him. He wants you to feel weak and helpless so that you can call upon Him in your trials. When you trust God, you show Him how much you love Him; you prove to Him that He is your God. This pleases Him. In His goodness, He will come to your aid and grant you much more than just relief from your burden; He will add peace, joy, and hope so that nothing can ever again disturb your relationship with Him.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
