The Fruit of Your Faith

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 (NASB)

After nine months of searching for a job, discouraged, young Leon went to see his father to explain his situation. His father's past experience allowed him to understand his son's frustration. He knew that a father has the responsibility to care for his children and provide for their needs. Having experienced similar hardships himself, he did everything he could to comfort his disheartened son.

After soothing Leon's sadness, his father asked him a question. This question would change everything for Leon. He said, "When you were little, you trusted me without ever questioning my decisions. Do you still have that trust in me?" Reassured by his father's good intentions, Leon replied, "Now that I'm an adult, I have even more reason to trust you." His father then gave him an address and told him to go there and say that he had sent him. Immediately, Leon felt immense joy and a profound peace wash over him.

God has many surprises in store for His children, but He asks only one thing of us: to trust Him and believe in His decisions. Difficulties are a part of life, and we cannot change them. The only way to overcome them is to believe in God's promise to care for us. He has given us the Holy Spirit to accompany and guide us at every moment. When you feel alone in the face of your trials, have faith in God and hope in Him, for it is your faith that will bring you the intense joy and peace He offers to those He loves.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
