Lord, we thank You for loving us enough to give Your son to the cross to die in our place. He suffered the punishment reserved for us even though he was guilty of nothing. You made him bear the heavy burden of our sins so that we might be forgiven of our iniquities and be reconciled to you. Therefore we exalt You and praise You with all our hearts.
Today, if we are at peace with You, it is not according to our meritorious works, but according to Your goodness and Your mercy. We will always remember Your love for us and the grace You gave us in Your son for the salvation of our souls. Blessed be Your name.
