A Huge Difference

Evil people do not understand justice, But those who seek the Lord understand everything.

Proverbs 28:5 (NASB)

Someone would probably wonder why there are liars, thieves, murderers, etc.? Don't they know that what they are doing is wrong? This is a question to which God Himself attaches importance. Not because He doesn't know the answer, but because He wants those who seek Him to know who they are dealing with and how to protect themselves. This is why, in His Word, He gives us the answer so clearly and unequivocally, to prevent us from letting them into our lives.

Those who do evil are so absorbed in their actions that they can no longer differentiate between good and evil. Most often, they tend to do evil and rejoice in the suffering of others. They become insensitive to the pain of those around them. They do not have the Spirit of God within them; they cannot be guided by Him. This is a reality that completely escapes them. On the other hand, those who have God's heart care even about the evil in the world.

This is what makes all the difference between those who belong to Christ and those who belong to the enemy. They do not see the world around them in the same way. Those who belong to Christ feel compassion when they see someone suffering. They care about their misery and are ready to fight for justice. Whereas those who do evil, if they lack a sense of right and wrong, how can they understand God's justice? This is where the Holy Spirit opens our eyes and guides us. He reveals God's heart to us so that we may be different from those of the world.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
