A Joyful Reward

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Psalm 127:3 (NKJV)

After marriage, the first concern of many couples is having a child. They plan it, discuss it, and begin working toward it. For most, without children, their marriage is pointless. Moreover, their families and society begin to stress them out, wondering when they will have a child. Having a child then becomes more of a burden than a joy for the couple.

According to the Bible, children are one of the blessings God grants to married couples. Not only to make them happy, but also to inherit the wealth accumulated throughout their lives. The Bible also says that children bring joy to their parents. Your children come from God, even if it was difficult for you to have them. They are your inheritance. In other words, they are the continuation of your character.

If you don't have children, don't see it as a curse or the result of a past mistake. When God decided to bless every family with children, He imposed no conditions or obstacles. It is a general blessing for all couples. Simply approach God personally and talk to Him. Spend time with Him and share your concerns. He is the One who gives joy and fruit to the womb. He will reward you at the right time. Perhaps He has a reason to delay your reward. In the meantime, rejoice in Him.
