A Protective Father

But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (CSB)
One Monday afternoon after school, in the pouring rain, Samuel, a 7-year-old boy, was running with his father to avoid getting soaked. The wind was blowing hard and the rain was pouring down. Knowing that his father was with him and could protect him, Samuel ran very fast in the rain. Holding his father's hand, he was not afraid to wade through the water that rose beneath his feet. Instead of being afraid, he was joyful and rejoiced in the experience. He saw no danger around him.
Like little Samuel, who relied on his father to protect him and who ran and jumped in the rain despite the force of the wind and rain, this is how we should behave in the face of danger. We have a Father who will always protect us, no matter the circumstances. We just need to trust Him in every situation, whether favorable or not. As the prophet says, those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength and walk without growing weary.
Did he mean that we will never tire or that we will always have exceptional strength? Absolutely not. What he means is that God will always be there to give us strength when we feel defeated. He will give us hope so that we will not tire when others no longer want to continue. Do you have a reason to give up because you can't take it anymore? Call on God with a sincere heart; He will guide you, renew your strength, and give you a reason to persevere. Count on Him; He will not let you down.
May God's grace and peace be with you all.
