A Satanic Plan

You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

Isaiah 14:13-14 (NIV)

By announcing his ascension, the first phase of his plan to dethrone God, Satan already knew where he wanted to go. Once he reached the point where he wanted to establish his throne, he would have control of everything. It is important to understand that this was not just a thought, but a plan he harbored within himself. His intention was to get rid of God's government. In other words, he would dethrone God from His kingdom, His power, and His authority.

After dethroning and removing God from His glorious position and overthrowing His government to install his own, he would establish his new satanic kingdom. Thus, by planning to enthrone himself on the mountain of the Assembly of God, Satan would proclaim himself the new God and King of the universe. The final phase of his plan was to make himself like God. Unlike God, his plan has always been to satisfy his ego.

For Satan, being like the Most High means having the power to create things, to organize them as he pleases, to control and destroy nations as he pleases, and to be glorified and worshipped by all that exists, including God Himself. You see, if Satan, created by God, wanted to dethrone Him, how much more will he seek to make you lose your salvation, in order to drag you with him to hell. Do not be guided by what the world offers you, but trust in God, who has a plan of peace for you.
