Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When we want to have a better life or achieve success, we rely on others instead of relying on God. Some people eventually achieve their dream and achieve their desired level of success, but they never experience true happiness. Despite all the goods acquired during their lives, they continue to suffer and complain about their loneliness and their fear of failure.
In the lives of these people, there is always a void that neither money, nor any social position, nor fame can fill. Their success only increases their loneliness and inner misery. Their total rejection of God for the things of this world prevents them from enjoying the joy and peace that His presence offers.
Trusting and relying on Christ is the only source of joy and peace. Life's trials may make you bitter and angry toward God, but remember His promises to care for you and give you the Holy Spirit to watch over you. When you feel alone because of your circumstances, turn to Christ in faith and the God of hope will fill you with joy and peace that nothing else can offer.
