Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:11 (NKJV)
After nine months of unemployment, discouraged and anxious, a young married man went to see a friend to explain his situation, hoping she could recommend him to one of her contacts. Eager to help him, his friend told him that a position was available at the company where she worked. However, for her to recommend him and for him to be hired, he would have to lie on his resume, adding experiences he had never had and claiming to possess the qualifications required for the job.
Although desperate, the young man refused to falsify his resume, explaining to his friend that his faith did not allow him to lie to get a job. He was firmly convinced that God would take his decision into account. His friend then told him that she couldn't do anything for him. The young man replied that she should do what she could and leave the rest to God. She agreed and made a few phone calls. Three days after applying, the company called the young man and offered him the job. They had determined that his experience would allow him to adapt to the requirements of the position.
This is one of the things God expects of us: sincerity in all things. When we are filled with the fruit of righteousness, we make the right decisions, we act with integrity, and we trust in God, even when He seems far away. This is how we bring glory to Him. Through our attitude in the face of life's challenges, we can praise God and inspire others to follow our example. Whatever situation you are going through, always remember that God must be glorified by our reaction.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
