God’s Way

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Proverbs 16:7 (NKJV)

Patricia and her sister, both Christians, stood out in their neighborhood. Seeing the lifestyle of most people, they refrained from it. Their attitude and Christian conviction attracted everyone’s attention. However, they were hospitable and greeted everyone. They were always ready to help and serve in times of need, but their distance from their community made them enemies.

When their mother suddenly fell ill in the middle of the night, they rushed to the hospital. The emergency room was crowded, there was no more room to receive their mother, so they were asked to wait in the waiting room. Seeing their mother’s pain, they began to pray to God to come to their aid. Without waiting too long, they heard their mother’s name to go to triage. It was only after they entered that they saw that the nurse who let them in was the one who hated them the most in their neighborhood.

Although the nurse did not like them, she nevertheless admired their special attitude that made them an example to follow. If we walk in God's way, He will always provide for our needs at all times. He will not consider our relationship with others or their appreciation of us, He will use them at the right time to answer our prayers and to help us. Like David, ask God to help you walk in His ways, He will use everyone around you to serve you.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
