Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:10 (NIV)
You may claim to know God, but unless you know Him through His Word, according to what He has revealed about Himself, you cannot truly know Him as He is. You serve a faithful God, who never breaks His word, but you cannot fully submit to Him if you do not know His works and His ways. This is why it is important for a Christian to study the Bible, for it is the only way to discover the person of God.
Those who meditate on God's Word and seek Him with all their heart, God will reveal Himself to them sooner or later. The more you discover who He truly is through His Word, the more you desire to know Him and the more you will learn to trust Him. God never abandons those who seek Him, who always meditate on His Word. Even when you do not see Him in person, He reveals things to you and performs miracles in your life that no one else can accomplish.
Paul emphasizes the importance of seeking God through His Word when he declares in Romans 10:17, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Indeed, meditation teaches us not only to know God better, but it also helps us grow in faith and trust in Him. It is this attitude that pleases God and prompts Him to turn to you, guide you, and care for you. Seek God through His Word, and He will find you where you are.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
