For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
Philippians 2:9-10 (NASB)
Jesus! How can the name that gives life and saves be at the same time the name that divides and arouses hatred? I believe that is what makes it wonderful and powerful. Those who believe in the name of Jesus receive the grace and blessings of the Father, but those who reject Him lose all divine privileges. They choose to hate those who fully enjoy God’s affection and protection.
It is a reality that affects all aspects of life, whether educational, family, political, medical, social, etc. Whenever a Christian opens their mouth to talk about Jesus and what He has done for them, there is always a voice that responds negatively. Such an attitude should never arouse fear in a Christian because for him, this name implies peace in suffering, joy in affliction, love in a hostile environment and hope in distress.
As a Christian, even though you are rejected and slandered for your trust and faith in Jesus, it is your duty to continue to praise Him and exalt His name. Jesus Himself told us that we would be mistreated because of His name. We must also understand that those who do not want to believe it simply refuse to abandon the sin to which they are attached. But a day will come when they will have to kneel and confess their sin before Jesus. So do not be afraid, because even if the world rejects the name of Jesus, it will always be a source of salvation and hope for you.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
