And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Faith, hope and love, three wonderful gifts from God.
By faith we believe and receive the grace of God. Through hope we live secure in our right standing with God. But love is the greatest of all. For it is out of love that we have inherited God's grace and forgiveness. Faith and hope are a beautiful manifestation of God's love in our life as believers.
God loves us unconditionally that he sent his son to die for us on the cross. Love is the essence of God's being. The more we rest in God's love, the more our lives reflect his love for others. Some believers believe that the Christian life is about sacrifice - sacrificing your life and everything you have for the cause of Jesus Christ. Certainly, the sacrifice is important, but without love, it is useless.
When we look at what is happening in this world, now more than ever, we need to love others without expecting anything in return. God himself poured out his love into our hearts without requiring anything when we became Christians except to love him with all our hearts. This is indisputable proof that we are able to show others this same love as children of God.
