Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

When you delight in the excellencies of God you will come to understand that everything about Him is the answer to your longings.
As you change your focus onto the Lord, your faith in Him is excited within your heart. When you make God your joy, the desires that grow in your heart are usually the ones that He planted, not the things that you think is good for you to succeed. Often, there are things we think that we need to be happy in life but they don’t really lead us to true happiness and satisfaction. But only following God direction can lead us to true satisfaction.
Therefore the best way to stop Worrying is to take your eyes off the circumstances and fix them on God who is the true source of a believer’s delight. There are many reasons to delight in the Lord, but for now just thank Him for waking you up this morning, because God’s abundant mercy is something we will never fully comprehend.
The next time you are tempted to think you need something or someone else to make you happy, pause and reflect on this verse.
