Rejoice in the Lord

Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.

Psalm 37:4-5 (RSV)

I would like to share with you two important things that can change your perception of God and the way you view His intervention in your life. The first is that God has promised to take care of those who trust Him. You simply have to trust Him. The second is that God has never promised to take care of you on your terms, your timing, and your conditions.

When we look at the two verses, verse 4 is a promise and an assurance that the promise will be fulfilled if you meet God’s condition. The condition is to delight yourself in the Lord. Verse 5 is a guarantee that the Lord will never fail to keep this promise, no matter the circumstances, as long as you trust Him.

If God does not take care of you on your terms, your timing, and your conditions, it is because His terms, His timing, and His way are superior to yours. God makes no mistakes in His decision to answer your prayers or not. He makes no mistakes in the way He answers you. He makes no mistakes in His timing. He is not a God of now according to your expectations. Rejoice in Him and trust Him, He will take care of you according to His plan for your life.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
