Seek Refuge in God

In the Lord I take refuge; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain?

Psalm 11:1 (NASB)

When an area is threatened, everyone worries about their lives and seeks solutions to protect themselves. No one is interested in the misfortune of others; it's every man for himself. Those who can cope with the threat do not support the most vulnerable. On the other hand, those who trust in God do not worry about their situation. They can always take the necessary measures, but they have the assurance that God will not fail to keep His promises.

David had this assurance in God's promises. That is why he did not worry about the threats of the wicked who sought his life and did not flee to the mountains to escape their attacks. He knew he had a God who would take care of him and protect him from his enemies. He took refuge in his protecting God. Like David, when the wicked advance against you, do not fear or flee. Trust in your God, who will never fail His promises to protect you.

Have you ever been so afraid that you wanted to run away from a situation or a person? Know that this is not a weakness. It is natural to everyone, because you are first and foremost human. However, you can transcend the natural to access the spiritual and place your cause in God's hands. By living by faith, you can say like Moses, "The Lord will fight for me, but I will remain silent." Proclaim this in your life and take refuge in the God who will never abandon you.

May God's grace and peace be with you all.
