As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:12 (NIV)
I have never seen a mother stop loving her children, despite her anger or disappointment towards them. Maternal love is a bond that we cannot fully understand. Science attempts to find a scientific and logical explanation for this maternal bond. Yet, even if a mother deeply loves her child and sacrifices for him or her, she will never forget the tears and moments of despair that child has caused her. This, too, is a reality that we cannot explain.
However, the Bible gives us the reason for this attitude that science will never be able to explain, even if it were to understand all aspects of human psychology. This reason is sin. We sin against a holy and perfect God, in whom there is no trace of fault. He created us in His image, and we chose to renounce that nature by following the path of His enemy to satisfy our carnal desires. But despite all this, God chose to forgive us and restore His original relationship with us.
I am convinced that you have already experienced feeling ashamed to read your Bible, or even to enter into God's presence to pray after having sinned. But do you know what? God doesn't see things the way you do. He chose to open a way for us to draw closer to Him. He gave us Jesus Christ, and it is through Him that He looks at us every day. He does not see our sins because He has removed them from Him as far as the east is from the west. This is a grace He has granted us to allow us to enjoy a holy relationship with Him. Do not let your sin separate you from God, for He has already removed it from Himself.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
