Suffer For a While

Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little.

1 Peter 5:10 (HCSB)

In this verse, the word of God makes it very clear that suffering is inevitable and unavoidable. Which means that as Christians, we will all have to suffer because of our faith in Jesus Christ. I know none of us likes difficulties; When we go through difficult times, we all want to get through them as quickly as possible. Even after praying to God for help, we do not have the patience to wait. Most of the time, the solution does not come as quickly as we would like and we have to endure the pain.

There is always a time when we are going through a storm, coming out of a storm, or entering a storm. As it is written in the Bible, in this life we will always have periods of suffering. When these storms come, what we need to do is cling to God's promises and have faith. Rather than looking at the storm, we should look at the One who is greater than the storm, the One who is greater than the universe. If we focus on God, He will guide us through our storm, for He promises not only to renew our strength, but also to bring us out of suffering in His time.

Today, in the face of your storm, it’s easy to feel like giving up, not being able to pray, or feeling like God has abandoned you. But I want to remind you that God will not abandon you. He is with you and will restore you. For what God has for you is much better and greater. It won't always be easy to face suffering, but it will be worth it, hold on and have faith in God.

May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
