The Time of Your Calling

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

2 Timothy 4:5 (NIV)

You may be wondering what God expects of you, because you have no idea. This is a question most Christians ask themselves at one point or another in their lives. Some, not knowing what to do, are content to be a passive member of their church. They occasionally participate in activities, but, for their part, they do nothing for the cause of Christ. Are you one of them?

According to the teachings of the Bible, God calls every believer to a ministry. He entrusts each of us with a mission to fulfill for the edification of His people and for His glory. If you have already identified yours, then, as Paul did for Timothy, I encourage you to give your all for the glory of God. Do not be afraid of the suffering and difficulties you encounter along the way, for this is part of ministry. God will reward you one day.

However, if you are still in a vacuum, with no idea what God has called you to do, it would be a good idea to ask Him to reveal your destiny in ministry. And even if you don't understand it at first, don't worry, because sooner or later, it will be revealed to you. Sometimes, when God calls us, we must follow His teachings to receive the necessary resources before our ministry is entrusted to us. When the time comes, submit to God's will and fulfill your ministry well.

May God's grace and peace be with you all.
