Walk Worthy

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:1-3 (NKJV)

When we join a group, an organization or an assembly, the first thing that interests us is to know their objective, their functioning and their regulations in order to comply with them. We ask all kinds of questions that can help us better understand where we are and gain acceptance.

We should adopt this same attitude when we come into the family of God. We cannot be a Christian without knowing the basic principles of Christian life. It is not by becoming a member of a church that makes us Christians after the heart of God, rather it is our obedience to his word. Paul exhorts and encourages us to walk worthily in the calling of Christ in our lives, which will keep the body of Christ unified.

If you ever wonder how to live a Christian life according to God's will, I encourage you to read Ephesian. He gives us many examples of what God expects of us as members of his family.
