What Not to Follow

So if they say to you, "Behold, He is in the wilderness," do not go out; or, "Behold, He is in the inner rooms," do not believe them.

Our faith is what connects us directly to God. However, in today's world, many seek to turn us away from our faith and distance us from God. We often hear rumors that we are living in the end times. Some skeptical believers actually believe this. To avoid such a mistake, Jesus warned us against accepting and believing everything we hear.

The Bible tells us that the sign that will reveal this end to us is the appearance of Christ in the air, when all the saved will be caught up to be with Him. This is the only sign you should believe. Strengthen your faith in Christ and renew your minds through the teaching of the Word. For if you are content with what you hear, you will unknowingly make rash decisions and do things that are not pleasing to God.

Jesus Himself taught us that the Holy Spirit was given to guide us into the truth and to reveal to us all that He received from the Father. Trust in the Holy Spirit; do not be seduced by hearsay, for it will do you no good, only stress you out and lead you to question God. It is not what men say that should interest you, but what the Lord Himself has taught us, which we must accept and respect.
