A Prayer for Those Struggling with Addiction

Our Father, our Healer, we come before You today on behalf of those waging a fierce battle against addiction. Lord, You see the hidden struggles, the heavy burdens, and the exhaustion that this battle brings forth. You know the pain of this vicious cycle, and You know the deep longing for freedom that dwells within their hearts.

We implore Your divine strength to break the chains. Where despair reigns, breathe in Your profound hope. When cravings, temptation, and anguish seem utterly insurmountable, be their unshakable anchor. Grant them the courage to face each day—and sometimes each hour—one step at a time, relying not on their own limited strength, but on Your infinite grace.

Heal the root of the pain. Lord, look beyond the addiction to the wounds, traumas, or voids that triggered it. Pour Your comforting Spirit into these broken hearts. Remind them of their true identity: that they are defined by Your love, Your purpose, and Your grace—and not by their past mistakes or current struggles.

God of restoration, breathe new life into their minds, bodies, and souls. Rebuild what has been broken, restore what has been lost, and guide their steps onto a solid path of lasting recovery and peace.
