Words of Prayer: 02/01/26

When we reflect on the reality of our lives and see that our actions and thoughts are constantly contrary to Your will, we have reason to marvel and wonder: Why did God love us so much that He left His throne to die in our place? This is what makes us understand that You are truly a holy God who cannot tolerate sin. The cross is proof of Your holiness. Because You cannot tolerate sin, You chose to die to forgive us, when You could have simply annihilated us and started over.

When we understand what the cross represents, we can affirm that You are a faithful and merciful God. No one is comparable to You. No other god can equal You or compare to You, for they demand from us, while You gave Yourself for us.

Thank You, Lord, for the sacrifice of the cross.
