Words of Prayer: 05/16/26

A Prayer for Those Who Serve in the Healthcare System.

Holy Father, we entrust to You the men and women who labor on the front lines of the healthcare system. Grant them the strength, wisdom, and compassion they need to carry out their vital work each day.

When their shifts are long and their bodies are weary, renew their physical energy. Be their rock and their source of endurance when they feel they have nothing left to give.

Grant them sharp focus, clear judgment, and wisdom when they must make critical, split-second decisions. Guide their hands and their minds so that they may bring healing and relief.

Shield them from burnout, despair, and emotional exhaustion. Fill them with an abundance of patience, empathy, and a deep sense of their vocation, enabling them to recognize the dignity of every patient they serve.

Lord, bless these devoted servants—doctors, nurses, technicians, aides, therapists, and support staff. May they realize the immeasurable value of their work, and may they feel Your presence walking alongside them in every hallway and every room.

In Your Holy Name, we pray.
