Words of Prayer 07/19/25

When we enter Your presence, Lord, it is not by our own merits, but by the blood of Jesus, Your Son, who gave Himself for us. We could never stand in Your holy presence because of our sins. Nothing we could do could justify us before You. You take no pleasure in sacrifice; no offering, however precious, will change Your view of sin, for You are a holy God.

Lord, we humble ourselves before Your throne and ask Your forgiveness. Even though Jesus, through His death, has enabled us to praise and glorify Your name, we still live in a corruptible body that keeps us enslaved to sin. We beg You, Lord, not to look upon us with our many sins, but, through Your Son, to blot them out and help us, through Your Spirit, to learn to walk in holiness and purity.
