Lord, You formed us and gave us life. You gave us a specific purpose in order to give meaning to our existence, that of worshiping You. Lord, our only desire is to please You, teach us to live according to Your precepts and to submit to Your will because we are exposed to all kinds of evil desires and all kinds of temptations. Watch over our hearts so that we do not sin against You.
It is to You that we turn this morning to ask forgiveness for our transgressions. May our prayers be before You as the expression of our deepest regret because of our sins. For we know that our tongues speak what is not right, our hearts sometimes meditate evil. Give ear to our supplications and hear our cries, Father, according to Your love and justice.
