Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.
Titus 2:14 (NASB)
We often go to God to ask Him to give meaning to our lives and to reveal to us what He wants us to accomplish for His glory. Some of us feel useless and without purpose because we see nothing in sight for our life; we are afraid of tomorrow because it is uncertain. However, we are all wrong because we all have a purpose that we do not yet know. It is the one that God has planned for us in Jesus Christ.
The Bible is clear in this sense, Jesus Christ gave Himself on the cross for us, not only to redeem us from our sins and to make us His people, but also so that we accomplish good works, those that He began during His earthly ministry. By His spirit, He purifies us and makes us zealous to accomplish His works. It is not what we want to do by our own strength, but it is what God has decided to entrust to us.
Just because you don’t see or understand God’s call on your life doesn’t mean He doesn’t have a plan for you. He has a plan for every one of His children, including you. You are important to God, don’t think you are useless. It took Moses 40 years to meet God face to face, and another 40 years to be given the mission to free Israel. He started his mission at 80 years old. So don’t worry anymore, God is probably preparing you for what you are going to accomplish for His name.
May the grace and peace of God be with you all.
