So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:16 (NTL)
For your prayer life to be effective like that of Christ, this must be a need for you:
A need to be in constant contact with God,
A need to discern the will of God,
A need to know God's planl and mission for you and your family,
A need to live in obedience to the voice of God,
A need to wait for God in prayer.
If Jesus Christ, who knew the will of the Father, saw prayer as a necessity to the point of always being in perfect communion with Him, if He needed the anointing of the Holy Spirit to accomplish His mission, how much more, we, to whom He has entrusted a mission; we, who are weak in the flesh and in the faith, have an urgent and pressing need to enter into and remain in communion with God through prayer.
As Christians, we all need prayer to grow, to advance, to progress. We need it to receive revelations from God. If your prayer life is not like Christ's, it means you need to rethink your priorities.
