But God demonstrates His own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 (NIV)
We often meet people who, after experiencing a difficult relationship in which they gave everything, become completely cold. They no longer trust anyone and no longer believe in love. Due to their deep disappointment, they wonder if true love really exists.
You may have encountered difficulties in a relationship that completely devastated you and made you distrust the love and friendship of others. Because of your frustration, you might even doubt God's love when confronted with this truth, wondering why would He love you if others can't? Know that the reason for God's love does not depend on the love of others or their affection for you. He just loves you. There is no trap or disappointment.
It was out of love for you that He gave His son on the cross to pay the price for your sins. Is there a greater proof of love than this? By sending His son to die in your place, God demonstrated how important you are to Him and how far He is willing to go to save you. Whenever you wonder if you can trust God's love because you have suffered disappointments, remember the sacrifice of the cross. This is proof that God’s love is real and true.
May the grace and the peace of God be with you all.
Thank you God
This is the kind of preaching we need to hear in church
