If Your Brother Has Sinned

If a believer does something wrong, go, confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back that believer.

Matthew 18:15 (NOG)

We always have this tendency to look at and judge others according to their sin, which often leads us to condemn them, forgetting that we ourselves are also sinners. Instead of judging and condemning your brother because of his sin, it would be better to exhort him, advise him and accompany him on the path of repentance.

The Bible tells us that "no one is good, not even one", it also says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". You see, we all inherited sin from Adam. Which means no one is spared because sin is part of our human nature. You may not commit such and such a sin, but that does not make you a sinless Christian, there is an aspect of your life where sin can take over.

The only way to avoid living in sin is to call on the Holy Spirit to guide your steps, your decisions, and your actions. For this you must learn to walk in obedience to His voice. Once you have reached this stage, be sure to watch over your brother's spiritual growth.
