Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
John 6:26 (KJV)
Today we see churches packed with people calling themselves Christians. They think they are because they belong to a local church. They participate in all activities: Prayer meetings, Bible studies, Holy Communion, etc. But are they so because they worship the Christ they serve or because they are looking for an answer or a solution?
The Bible clearly shows us in todays' verse that not all of them really are. Jesus Himself knowing the thought of those who followed him, did not hesitate to reveal to them why they seek him and want to hear him. It was not the message of the kingdom that interested them, it was rather the bread he had given the day before that caught their attention. They have neglected the greater part "The bread which gives eternal life" to run after the bread which satisfies the physical needs of the body.
I would like to ask you this question today: Are you looking for an answer or are you looking for God Himself? The bread that gives life, which is Jesus Christ can satisfy all your needs whatever they are. So instead of wanting a miracle from the hand of God, aspire to what is best, His eternal presence.
WOW WOW, Very Very Good Point !!! It's so deep that it touched me deep in my soul. You know how to meet people's spiritual needs. This message is so true that it should be preached in the ear of every believer to help them know the gospel as it really is. Many so-called Christians don't even know what they are doing in church or why they are there. As I said once, you guys should have live video on social media, as you have facebook, tweeter and instagram pages, so more people can hear these messages.
